Paper and Quill

Hey guys! So as you may have noticed, I didn't post last week or yesterday. That is the fault of this nasty creature you may have heard of called "school."  Anyway, as the title says, I have a small update for you all. I will not be posting until June. I need to really be focusing all my attention on my finals as the school year wraps up, plus we have a camping trip at the end of the month and that takes a lot of prep when you're in a big family.   Another month is gone and a new one in its place. The school year is coming to a close and man, I cannot wait for summer break.  Camp NaNo ended yesterday and I'd say it went a lot better than November's NaNoWriMo. I gave myself a few goals for the month but completed little to nothing of them. I did complete Camp with 16K out of my goal of 20K, which is a lot more than I expected to get.  My May goals are nothing much, as I will have to focus most of my time on homework. I'm hoping to devote a little more time to finishing the books I am currently reading, but I doubt much will be done. My writing goals consist of a total word count goal of 20K and finishing the plotting and worldbuilding of my WIP, ATOR.  Have a lovely week! Until next time, Farren ♡

Hey guys! It has been a good three months since I last posted. Wow. A lot has happened since then. So, consider this a reintroduction.  To start out, you can call me Farren. I'm a writer, a reader, an artist, and a Christian. My enneagram type is 5w6, my MBTI is INTP, my Hogwarts house is Slytherclaw (a Slytherin-Ravenclaw mix), and my Divergent faction is Erudite. I like rainy days, castles, dragons, pirates, books, sewing, tea, photography, dark academia, cats, dancing, forests, poetry, and exploring. My favorite movies include Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Jurassic Park and World, and Star Wars.  Eeepp. It's been almost a month since I last posted.  Anyway, here goes. 😜 <><><> Those who know me well, know that I am a very slow writer. On a good day, my writing speed is 10 wpm, but typically it falls under 5.  I’ve also never written anything that’s over 10K before. (And that one took me three months to finish draft one. 😆) Plus, I kind of knew at the beginning that I probably wouldn’t reach 50K by the 30th. Now, to be honest, I’m not quitting because my story is horrible. I am in love  with my story.  Besides, this is my very first NaNoWriMo and I went in completely blind and unprepared. For starters, we were in a whole other state for the first week of November. School has also been a hindrance this month. I wasn’t able to successfully start until the 11th because of it.  Quitting will give me a lot more time to the other things I love and will put less stress on me when it comes to finishing 50K in 30 days. And maybe next year...

I got a few poems written though, so, yay for that. 😆 WRITING: OCTOBER GOALS October is also called Preptober in the land of NaNoWriMo novelists, making prepping for NaNoWriMo top priority this month. 😜 Work on poetry.  Write a short story for world building my NaNo novel.  SCHOOL  School was pretty hectic in September, as I was still easing into a good groove. This month it should be easier.  ARTING I started journaling up again last month. I hope I can continue that throughout October.  I’m doing an Instagram art project-like thing with a group of other insta artists. The prompt is Mechanical Wildlife and it’s due the 13th.
