Why I Decided to Throw in the Towel for NaNoWriMo 2020

Eeepp. It's been almost a month since I last posted.

Anyway, here goes. ๐Ÿ˜œ

Those who know me well, know that I am a very slow writer. On a good day, my writing speed is 10 wpm, but typically it falls under 5. I’ve also never written anything that’s over 10K before. (And that one took me three months to finish draft one. ๐Ÿ˜†) Plus, I kind of knew at the beginning that I probably wouldn’t reach 50K by the 30th.

Now, to be honest, I’m not quitting because my story is horrible. I am in love with my story. Besides, this is my very first NaNoWriMo and I went in completely blind and unprepared. For starters, we were in a whole other state for the first week of November. School has also been a hindrance this month. I wasn’t able to successfully start until the 11th because of it.

Quitting will give me a lot more time to the other things I love and will put less stress on me when it comes to finishing 50K in 30 days. And maybe next year I’ll be able to go in prepared and ready because of this. aND, I have April and July to practice! So, maybe next year's the year. ^-^

So, yeah.

Many thanks to those who took time out of their day to read this.

Until next time, Farren ♡
