The Twelve Days Of Christmas Blog Tag

Hey guys! This post is incredibly late and I apologize. Life has just been crazy lately. <><><> Rules Link back to the creator of the tag (Lavender Bleu @ Always Write The Good Write ) Link back to the blogger who tagged you (Lavender Bleu @ Always Write The Good Write ) Answer the questions Tag 1-5 more people Questions 1. What is your favorite Christmas food? Usually cranberry sauce. 😂 2. Do you have any Christmas traditions? Several, actually, but my favorite is probably code names. My parents come up with a different theme every year and we each are a different thing in that theme. And, also, my parents don’t tell us our code names ‘til Christmas Eve night.  3. Did you believe in Santa when you were little? Most definitely. ^-^ I barely slept most Christmas nights because I was so excited.  4. How do you like to decorate your Christmas tree? We usually have two small trees, and we kids pair up to decorate each with our own personal ornaments. This year, though, w

I Am Thankful For…

Anddd, I knew this would happen. *facepalm* Sorry for not keeping with my intended schedule, guys. Life’s been pretty crazy lately, what with school starting up again and then preparing for Christmas.  I am thankful for internet. Without it, I wouldn’t be able to contact my friends, access my homework, or go to virtual classes.  ~ Farren

I Am Thankful For…

Hey guys! Yesterday was pretty crazy what with my brother’s birthday and all, so I didn’t have a chance to post my thankfulness then.  Today, I’m thankful for sleep. I know, that’s a pretty weird one, lol. But I’m a huge sleep lover and if I don’t get my beauty rest, well, you will not want to be around me the next day. 😆 What are you thankful for today? Post it in the comments if you’d like.  ~ Farren

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hey guys! Happy Thanksgiving! In honor of this wonderful holiday, I am going to try to post one "I Am Thankful For..." thing daily. Hopefully, it will help me get into a good routine of posting more often. No one wants to subscribe to a blog where the author rarely posts, am I right? That's just boring, and, in my opinion, annoying.  You guys are welcome to post some things you're thankful for in the comments, too! <><><> I am thankful for ... running water. ~ Farren

Why I Decided to Throw in the Towel for NaNoWriMo 2020

Eeepp. It's been almost a month since I last posted.  Anyway, here goes. 😜 <><><> Those who know me well, know that I am a very slow writer. On a good day, my writing speed is 10 wpm, but typically it falls under 5.  I’ve also never written anything that’s over 10K before. (And that one took me three months to finish draft one. 😆) Plus, I kind of knew at the beginning that I probably wouldn’t reach 50K by the 30th. Now, to be honest, I’m not quitting because my story is horrible. I am in love  with my story.  Besides, this is my very first NaNoWriMo and I went in completely blind and unprepared. For starters, we were in a whole other state for the first week of November. School has also been a hindrance this month. I wasn’t able to successfully start until the 11th because of it.  Quitting will give me a lot more time to the other things I love and will put less stress on me when it comes to finishing 50K in 30 days. And maybe next year I’ll be able to go in pr

A Look at October and November's Goals

Wow! Another month has past! Can't believe it!  <><><> WRITING: OCTOBER October went pretty good in this area. I wrote several poems, and a short story. Let's see, my goals were: Prepping for NaNoWriMo Working on my poetry And writing a short story for world building my NaNo novel.  Prepping for NaNoWriMo went pretty good, actually. It was a bit hurried towards the end because I didn't start as early as I should've, but I got the main things down. My poetry also went pretty good. I have, in total, 5 new poems! The short story didn't happen, but it would've been tricky to manage with my schedule. WRITING: NOVEMBER GOALS Write my NaNo novel! SCHOOL  School's a nightmare right now. All my teachers decided right around the start of mid-term that they're going to assign twice as much homework. So. I've been struggling through boatloads of overdo work. ARTING I think I did a bit of journaling at the beginning of the month, but it sort o

The Behind The Blogger Tag

Hey guys!  I know I've been pretty absent lately, but with the end of October and the start of NaNoWriMo approaching quickly, I want to try to get into a good posting routine. RULES Thank the person who nominated you - Syberyah @  aTAGirl Answer the questions Ping back to the creator - Ellyn @  Allonsythornraxx Nominate 5+ bloggers to do the tag QUESTIONS 1. Why did you start blogging, and why have you kept blogging? I started blogging because I thought it'd be fun, and both my parents and best friend had blogs. I don't really know why I've kept it up, to be honest. I guess it just feels nice to write something and be able to share it with the outside world. ^-^ 2. What is your favorite type of blog post to write? Book reviews. I haven't done any yet, but I hope to start doing them soon. 3. What are your top three favorite blog posts? I don't have many yet, but I'd say  A Look at September And October's Goals ,  The Stars , and  Hullo! . 4. What are some

The Nameless Book Tag

This is my second book tag, so... yeah, it's obvious books are my life. 😂 Thanks, Syberyah ! Rules: There are none... that I know of. 1. What book has been on your shelf the longest? Probably my Little House On The Prairie trilogy (Laura Ingalls Wilder)? It has the first three books in a single copy. 2. What are your current read, your last read, and your book to read next? I'm reading two books at the moment. Catching Fire (book 2 of The Hunger Games; Suzanne Collins), and To Kill A Mockingbird (Harper Lee). My last read was, I think, The Hunger Games (book 1 " "). My next read is definitely Mockingjay (book 3 " "). 3. What book did everyone like but you hated? To be honest, I have no idea. I like most books I've read. 4. What book do you keep telling yourself you’ll read but probably won’t? I read any and every book I can get my hands on. So I don't have anything that fits in this category. 5. What books are you saving for retirement? Why would I

A Look at September and October’s Goals

Wooooo! We survived yet another month in quarantine! Happy October and may your blogging/writing/arting/whatever-you-do-for-a-hobby go great this month! ^-^ <><><> WRITING: SEPTEMBER  September produced almost nothing worth keeping. I got a few poems written though, so, yay for that. 😆 WRITING: OCTOBER GOALS October is also called Preptober in the land of NaNoWriMo novelists, making prepping for NaNoWriMo top priority this month. 😜 Work on poetry.  Write a short story for world building my NaNo novel.  SCHOOL  School was pretty hectic in September, as I was still easing into a good groove. This month it should be easier.  ARTING I started journaling up again last month. I hope I can continue that throughout October.  I’m doing an Instagram art project-like thing with a group of other insta artists. The prompt is Mechanical Wildlife and it’s due the 13th. I have a faint idea of what I might do, but it’s a work in progress.  READING: SEPTEMBER  I started The Hunger

The Stars

The stars They call to me Draw me from my deep slumber Call me into their abyss Swallowing me whole Drowning me in light Drowning me in peace Drowning me in false safety Before slitting my throat And leaving me for dead <><><> Until next time, Farren ♡

The Sweet Tooth Book Tag

I got tagged twice for the same blog tag, so this'll be a joint post.  Rules: 1. Thank and link back to the person who tagged you - thanks Syberyah  and Adria ! 2. Link back to the creator of the tag - Jenna 3. Tag at least five other bloggers, but if you can only muster one, it's alright. 4. Add your own question to the end with your favorite treat. Let your nominees know that they should pick seven questions out of all of them to do, but they must include yours. That way the tag won't get too long with people adding their questions.  Lollipops - a book you loved as a kid Definitely The Boxcar Children. (Boxcar Children book 1) Oreos - a book or series you couldn't get enough of I’ve gotta say The Hunger Games. Okay, so I haven't finished it yet, but it's all I can think about most days. Three musketeers - your favorite trilogy The Hunger Games. I'm going to keep saying this. It's too   good. Gummy bears - a retelling you really liked The Land of Storie

Hello!

Hi guys. I’m Farren. I'm just a book-loving, adventure-dreaming teen with a knack for writing.  I created this blog as a platform for me to share my life with you, the reader.  Here we go.  I live with four crazy younger siblings, a dog, a cat, and four chickens. I’m an introvert so I enjoy being in my room a lot. I’m also very socially awkward which means if you haven't known me for a few months, you'll probably not hear anything that's above a mumble or whisper, heh. When I’m not found pouring my lifeblood into my writing, I’m blogging, drawing, reading, chatting with friends, procrastinating, playing the piano, or just staring out the window.  Until next time, Farren ♡
